Lionel Newman Conducting Scholarship
The BMI Lionel Newman Conducting Scholarship gives young conductors the opportunity to work for a three-year period with the Los Angeles Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra. This includes not only the opportunity to work with well-known conductors but to conduct works independently.
Thelma A. Robinson Award in Conducting
The NFMC Thelma A. Robinson Award in Conducting of $1,250 is given at the graduate level or higher. Application is by invitation only from the Conductors Guild.
Sigma Alpha Iota Conducting Scholarship
The SAI Conducting Scholarship is available to graduate students enrolled in a degree program with an emphasis on conducting. This $2,500 grant is awarded in memory of Bobbie Burk. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be: an initiated member of SAI, in good financial standing with the fraternity, current with national fees, enrolled in a graduate degree program with an emphasis in conducting.
