Grand Teton Music Festival
Grand Teton Music Festival
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
GTMF's 59th Season (July 3 - August 22) marks two momentous events: Beethoven's 250th birthday and the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage. "20/20 Visionaries" commemorates these occasions by paying homage to women in classical music-instrumentalists, singers, conductors, and composers; by thrilling performances of some of Beethoven's beloved works; and by masterpieces of composers on whom he had a lasting impact. We are thrilled to welcome vocalists Renée Fleming, Bernadette Peters, and Erin Wall; violinists Midori, Gil Shaham and Adele Anthony; conductors James Conlon, Eun Sun Kim and Karina Canellakis; cellist Johannes Moser; and pianists Garrick Ohlsson and Daniela Liebman. Other performances include "Patriotic Pops"; "Mahler in the Mountains"; boundary-breaking Time for Three; composer, pianist and vocalist Clarice Assad; and the acclaimed St. Lawrence String Quartet and Dover Quartet. And, the glory of the festival is the extraordinary group of musicians who make their way every year to Jackson Hole to come together as the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, under the visionary leadership of Maestro Donald Runnicles.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
SummerFest 2020 Theme: Self + Sound —Composers use music to express their individuality and their identity, celebrate and idealize their nationality, convey their love, and immortalize friends and family. Yet for all its highly individual expression, music is also universal and speaks to us equally. This summer's program explores how composers write themselves into their music, and how the diversity of influences that make us unique finds its expression in sound.

Moritzburg Festival
Moritzburg Festival
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
A lively spirit of innovation, musical vitality and fascinating performance venues contribute to the unique atmosphere of the Moritzburg Festival. Founded in 1993 by Kai Vogler, Peter Bruns, and Jan Vogler, whose inspiration was the famous "Marlboro Festival" in the USA, the Moritzburg Festival considers itself a laboratory for musical experimentation while also offering a home to excellence. Under the artistic directorship of the world-renowned cellist Jan Vogler it has established itself as one of the world's leading chamber music festivals.
Every August, internationally renowned soloists and outstanding young artists from all over the world meet in Moritzburg near Dresden. Surrounded by idyllic nature they work on new interpretations of chamber music pieces, presenting them in transitional ensembles which are unique and exclusive to the Moritzburg Festival.
As outstanding musicality must be safeguarded for the future, the Festival is very concerned about the support for rising young artists. Since the founding of the Moritzburg Festival Academy in 2006, young musicians have had the opportunity to intensely work on joint programs, introducing themselves to a broader audience in various concert formats
