77th Season of the historic school for conductors and orchestral musicians founded by French Conductor, Pierre Monteux, in Hancock, Maine.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Six Festival Orchestra concerts, 5:00 pm Sundays, and five chamber music concerts, 5:00 pm Wednesdays, in Forest Studio, Monteux Festival Grounds, Hancock, Maine. Featuring violinist Gabe Lefkowitz, Concertmaster, Louisville Symphony, Conductor Kensho Watanabe, cellist Bjorn Ranheim, St. Louis Symphony, trombonist Stephen Lange, Boston Symphony, flutist Jennifer Gunn, Chicago Symphony. Free Youth Concert, Thusday, July 9 at 10:30 am. Pierre Monteux Memorial Concert with Maestro Michael Jinbo conducting, Sunday, July 19 at 5:00 pm. Orchestral Pops Concert Sunday, July 26, at 5:00 pm.
