New York, NY – Parthenia, New York’s premiere viol consort, will present The Flaming Fire on Saturday, November 1 - 8:00 PM at the Concert Hall at Drew University, 36 Madison Ave. in Madison, New Jersey.

This concert focuses on the hauntingly beautiful music of Scotland and England from the 1500s for viol consort and voice. It is music that Mary Queen of Scots and her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I, and their friends, enemies and subjects might have heard.

Grammy-nominated tenor/countertenor Ryland Angel and virginal player Stephen Rapp are joining Parthenia in this rarely performed or recorded repertoire. Tickets are $20 general admission, $10 with educational ID. For more information, call 973-408-3917 or visit https://www.drew.edu/concerthall/dacamera/.
