Composers Now celebrates living composers, and honors the diversity of their voices and the significance of their contributions to the cultural fabric of society. The Festival brings together performances presented by venues, ensembles, orchestra, opera, musical theater and dance companies as well as many other innovative events through New York City. Composers are in attendance at all events which are open to the public, from jazz to indie, from classical to electronic and beyond. Composers Now is a project partner of The Fund for the City of New York. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the ASCAP Foundation, the Cheswatyr Foundation, the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation, The Dubose and Dorothy Heyward Memorial Fund and the Newburgh Institute for the Arts and Ideas.

Founded in Bogota, Colombia in 1976, the Quintet has specialized in bringing music from the Western hemisphere to audiences in the United States since its arrival in New York in 1979. Members of the Quintet are Karla Moe, flute, Matt Sullivan, oboe, Benjamin Baron, clarinet, Barbara Oldham, horn, and Sasha Enegren, bassoon.
