Madison Avenue Baptist Church Announces Open Call for Musicians to Join Its Music Roster

New York, NY – Madison Avenue Baptist Church (MABC), a historic faith and community organization known for its rich musical tradition, is excited to announce an open call for classically trained and jazz instrumentalists to join its esteemed music roster. This unique opportunity is aimed at musicians looking for regular, professional, and paid engagements in one of New York's most prestigious church settings.

MABC is seeking talented instrumentalists to perform in both ensemble and solo settings during special events such as Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter services. Additionally, selected musicians will have the chance to participate in the world-class Madison Sounds concert series, further showcasing their talents.

Upcoming Performance Opportunities:

- Good Friday Service: March 29, 2024

- Easter Service: March 31, 2024

Eligibility:

This opportunity is available to instrumentalists who will be at least 21 years old by the start date.

Instruments:

- Violin

- Viola

- Cello

- Double Bass

- Flute

- Clarinet

- Oboe

- Trumpet

- Saxophone

- Guitar

- Organ

- Piano

Audition Requirements:

Candidates are required to submit a video recording of two contrasting pieces that showcase their skills.

- A brief resume and biography, emphasizing your educational background and musical experience.

Consent and Release:

Selected participants will need to consent to being interviewed, photographed, and videotaped during all public events produced by MABC, with content potentially broadcast worldwide.
