WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Based on the historic Minnesota Iron Range in the Superior National Forest of Minnesota the festival spans three weeks offering residents and tourists professional arts events Near world class golf courses and thousands of lakes patrons can attend opera symphony and chamber music events in historic venues across the Range.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
NLMF Opera presents Puccini's Madama Butterly starring Danielle Pastin, Cody Austin, Kimberly Sogioka and Kyle Albertson; conducted by Gavriel Heine, and directed by Vincent Connor. Heine also conducts NLFM Orchestra in Porgy and Bess in concert, starring Lourin Plant and Julianne Whitely, and in performances with Competition Winners. Chamber music highlights include the Ravel Piano Trio, esteemed faculty, and pre-performance lectures.
