SEMIFINALS (live rounds)
A Prescreening of submitted recordings will be held in June 2015 by a preliminary panel of judges. If you are chosen to advance to the live auditions, we will notify you by the end of June. The competition will take place in New York City at the American Academy of Arts and Letters, September 22 and 23, 2016. |

FINALS (live rounds)
The Final Round will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015, in Borden Auditorium at Manhattan School of Music, located at Broadway and 122nd Street in New York City. This round will be free and open to the public. |

Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize in Music Composition at Northwestern University |

In fall 2004 the Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music established the Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize in Music Composition, a biennial award honoring classical music composers of outstanding achievement whose body of work exhibits unique creativity.

ELIGIBILITY
Nominations for the 2016 Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize in Music Composition will be accepted from October 1, 2015 through February 1, 2016, with the winner announced in early spring 2016. Nominations preferably should come from recognized experts in the music profession and describe the nominee’s accomplishments and qualifications in no more than a two-page letter. Inclusion of the nominee’s resume along with the nominating letter is encouraged but is not required. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Former or present members of the Northwestern University faculty or employees of the Chicago Symphony are not eligible for the prize.

Established in 1951 on the initiative of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, as a successor to the Eugène Ysaÿe Competition, the Queen Elisabeth Competition very soon became one of the leading international competitions for pianists, singers, and string players. The piano competition live rounds will be held May 2-28, 2016 in Flagey, Studio 4. The 2016 application deadline has passed. The next competition, in 2017, will be for cello.

ELIGIBILITY
The Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium is holding sessions for pianists, violinists, singers and cellists.
