ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
The Plowman Chamber Music Competition celebrated its inaugural year in 2006. It provides an opportunity for non-professional musicians to perform in front of an outstanding panel of nationally chosen judges for the cash awards that include a grand prize of $5,000.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to instrumental ensembles of three to six players. Members must be interested in, or already pursuing a career in music. However, ensembles with management as of April 8, 2017 are not eligible. The ensemble may not have more than one piano. Piano is also the only keyboard instrument eligible in the competition.
The Plowman Chamber Music Competition is unable to accommodate ensembles that require more than five minutes to set-up and tear-down time (i.e., numerous percussion instruments, complex electronic set-ups, etc.). The ensemble is responsible for arranging for, and/or bringing their own instruments and music.
