2016 GUIDE TO COMPETITIONS

![]() ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
Prior to performing in the finals with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, each finalist rehearses the full concerto with the conductor, then with the conductor and a quintet of MSO musicians, followed by a rehearsal with full orchestra. All contestants are coached on speaking about music and perform outreach programs.

ELIGIBILITY
For pianists, 16 to 20 years old, of any nationality, living or studying full time in North America.

SEMIFINALS (live rounds)
Ten pianists, selected as semifinalists, will perform two live non-eliminating competition recitals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. On June 4, 2016, each will perform a solo recital at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. On June 6, also at the conservatory, each will perform a collaborative recital that includes a violin or cello duo with a partner from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. |

FINALS (live rounds)
Three pianists, selected as finalists, will perform complete concertos in live performances with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra on June 8, 2016 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA. |
