MISSION
The Jacobs School of Music provides distinguished instruction and outstanding opportunities for majors and non-majors to realize their full potential. We foster an environment in which students, faculty, and staff have boundless opportunities through creative activity and scholarship at the highest professional levels to shape their own unique paths in the arts.
WHAT MAKES THIS SCHOOL UNIQUE?
Indiana University Jacobs School of Music boasts more than 175 full-time faculty and 1,400 performances a year. Numerous dual degrees, double majors, and minors are offered; there are six on-campus musical research hubs. More than 70 degree programs are offered with a 6:1 student-to-faculty ratio; more than 30 ensembles are offered.
