MISSION
The mission of The University of Alabama School of Music is to preserve and enhance the best traditions in our rich and varied musical heritage by providing a comprehensive music program that serves the educational and artistic needs of the community, state, region, and beyond through teaching, performing, scholarship, and service.
WHAT MAKES THIS SCHOOL UNIQUE?
Faculty engages in teaching, research, and service in a global field, providing a world-class education in a hometown environment. More than 200 events are hosted each season in the concert hall, which has a 5,000-pipe organ. There is a more intimate performance space for recitals, as well as individual practice rooms/rehearsal spaces for various ensembles.

Scholarship details: 60% of tuition

UA School of Music faculty members provide graduates with guidance on career options post-graduation, whether that be taking orchestral auditions, military band auditions, applying for music therapy, teaching, or administrative jobs, or applying for graduate schools to pursue a more concentrated area of study.
