Audition Requirements Audition Requirements

The Colburn School offers a range of resources to help students and alumni plan and build their professional careers. All Conservatory students take two essential classes: the Healthy Musician, which teaches maintenance for professional health and the prevention of performance injuries, and the Working Musician, which offers courses designed to help them manage their careers as musicians. Undergrad students also take Teaching Musician, for pedagogy training. The Center for Innovation and Community Impact offers individual advising and planning to Conservatory students, which allows them to tailor their experience to their own needs and goals. Career development staff work with students one-on-one and find opportunities for them to further explore their interests. In addition, the center teaches students engagement skills, including creating programs to develop new audiences and become arts leaders.
