Curtis offers several professional bridge programs designed for young artists beginning their professional career. These include fellowship programs for conductors and string quartets, offering numerous performance opportunities and mentorship from the Curtis faculty and guest artists. The ArtistYear Fellowship Program, which will engage five Curtis graduates in the 2015-16 season, brings art access and education to underserved communities through a year of paid service.
Alumni are offered free one-on-one consulting with experts through the Corzo Center for the Creative Economy. The result of a partnership with Curtis and the University of the Arts, supported by the Knight Foundation and PECO, alumni can discuss ideas, strategies, tactics, grants, audience engagement, promotion, and more with local professionals. Entrepreneur grants from the Corzo Center are also available.
Other resources include access to the Careers in Music Speaker Series at Curtis, which showcases successful artists, industry experts, and ensembles who share their advice and perspective; a LinkedIn group to professionally connect alumni; an online directory encouraging alumni to make connections as they travel and perform; and an alumni email address to maintain a visible presence with Curtis.
