WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
TIME:SPANS is dedicated primarily to the presentation of twenty-first century music. The festival is produced and presented by The Earle Brown Music Foundation Charitable Trust (EBMF).
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Earle Brown Music Foundation is pleased to announce TIME:SPANS 2026, scheduled
August 8-22, 2026. Now in its 11th season, T:S 2026 will present a broad spectrum of contemporary compositions, ranging from full sinfonietta instrumentation to quartet as well as duo and solo works with electronics.

Talea Ensemble opens and closes the festival with music by two of the most influential composers, Rebecca Saunders and Wolfgang Rihm. Chicago's Grossman Ensemble brings selections from its recent commissioning initiatives, and International Contemporary Ensemble will present a selection of works from different countries.

Alarm Will Sound and JACK Quartet will each feature music by Georg Friedrich Haas. Experimentalstudio Freiburg (SWR, Germany) returns for two programs, working with performers Ning Yu (piano), the GrauSchumacher Piano Duo, Sarah Saviet (violin), and Ty Bouque (baritone).
