WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
With more than 75 years of experience running a young artist festival and with over 4,000 alumni, many of whom are now singing on the world's greatest stages, Opera in the Ozarks is the only summer opera festival of its kind in the south-central United States.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Opera in the Ozarks is a unique summer music festival in beautiful Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Founded in 1950, it has earned the reputation of being a prominent training program for emerging opera professionals who get extensive stage time and the chance to sing with a professional orchestra. The 2026 season will feature 21 opera performances of Candide, The Marriage of Figaro, and a double bill of Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi. In addition, emerging artists will perform a children's opera, Monkey See, Monkey Do, at over a dozen locations throughout northwest Arkansas.
With 300 seats, full climate control, no sightline obstructions, and outstanding acoustics, the new theater delivers a new level of comfort to our audiences while preserving intimacy. LOCATION
