WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Music@Menlo's signature thematic programming offers the opportunity to be deeply immersed in chamber music over the course of three weeks. In addition to main-stage performances and artist-curated recitals, the festival features free afternoon concerts, master classes, and AudioNotes listening guides.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Music@Menlo's 2026 summer festival, "Redux," marks a celebratory moment in the life of the festival: the final season led by founding Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han. Over the past 24 summers, their leadership has transformed Music@Menlo into one of the world's most distinguished chamber music festivals, renowned for artistic rigor and imaginative programming. The 2026 festival features seven mainstage concert programs, each inspired by a past season. The summer also serves as a bridge to Music@Menlo's 25th anniversary, launching Gilles Vonsattel's monumental, multi-season presentation of Beethoven's complete cycle of 32 piano sonatas. Running from July 17 to August 8, the festival presents more than 50 events across three stages in Atherton, CA, showcasing many of the world's most celebrated artists and ensembles.
