TIME:SPANS Festival 2025
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
TIME:SPANS is dedicated primarily to the presentation of 21st-century music. The festival is produced and presented by The Earle Brown Music Foundation Charitable Trust (EBMF). Artistic director for TIME:SPANS is Thomas Fichter.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Earle Brown Music Foundation is pleased to announce its tenth season of TIME:SPANS Festival in 2025, which will present 12 concerts and a film premiere.

Four concerts spotlight Canadian artists—Sixtrum, Bozzini, and No Hay Banda—featuring numerous premieres by Canadian composers. A live-video component defines both the opening and closing nights, with Danish composer Simon Steen-Andersen's works on August 9 and Il Teatro Rosso by Steven Kazuo Takasugi performed by No Hay Banda on August 23.

New York's contemporary music scene is strongly represented by Talea Ensemble, International Contemporary Ensemble, Miranda Cuckson, JACK Quartet, Claire Chase, and Yarn/Wire with guests Raven Chacon and John Dieterich.

Returning to the festival, Ensemble Nikel will perform following the premiere of Shadow Axe, a portrait by filmmaker H. Paul Moon of Nikel's guitarist Yaron Deutsch.
