Strings Music Festival stands out for its intimate, high-altitude setting in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, blending world-class classical, jazz, and contemporary performances with breathtaking mountain scenery. Its unique venue, renowned acoustics, and diverse lineup create an immersive musical experience that harmonizes nature, artistry, and community engagement like no other.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Strings Music Festival presents an unforgettable classical lineup alongside an exciting mix of contemporary artists. The season opens with Contrasts in Classical, reimagining Rossini, Mozart, and Haydn, followed by standout performances from violinist Chee-Yun (An American Story), brass virtuosos (An American Tapestry in Brass), and the dynamic piano duo Anderson & Roe. Highlights include Palaver Strings featuring Nicholas Phan, the Manhattan Chamber Players, and the Weiss Kaplan Carr Trio. The festival culminates in Orchestra Finale: Rhapsody in Blue and a special performance by the 2025 Cliburn gold medalist. Beyond classical, enjoy artists like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lucinda Williams, Rhiannon Giddens & The Old-Time Revue, and more.
