WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
With more than 75 years of experience running a young artist festival and with over 4,000 alumni, many of whom are now singing on the world's greatest stages, Opera in the Ozarks is the only summer opera festival of its kind in the south-central United States.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Opera in the Ozarks is a unique summer music festival in beautiful Eureka Springs, AR. Founded in 1950, it has earned the reputation of being a prominent training program for emerging opera professionals who get extensive stage time and the chance to sing with a professional orchestra. The 2025 season will feature 22 staged performances of Carmen, The Merry Widow, and Into the Woods. In addition, our emerging artists will perform a children's opera, The Bremen Town Musicians, at over a dozen locations throughout northwest Arkansas.
The highlight of the season will be the opening of our brand new state-of-the-art opera theater. With 300 seats, full climate control, no sightline obstructions, and outstanding acoustics, the new house promises to bring a new level of comfort to our audiences while preserving intimacy.
