John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
An integral part of the organization's mission is to preserve and celebrate the life and music of John Coltrane in his hometown of High Point, North Carolina. Importantly, this mission includes the enrichment of lives through jazz and other musical genres .
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Named "One of the Best Jazz Festivals in the U.S." by Jazz Observer, the John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival honors the great saxophonist and composer with a celebration held in High Point, NC—the city where he grew up—with the excellence, natural beauty, warmth, and inspiration that's characteristic of our namesake's music and legacy. It happens in Oak Hollow Park, a location bound by a pristine lake and lush foliage. It's two days of great jazz and blues music, food, vendors, family, friends, fun, and relaxation. Artists love to perform at this festival as much as audiences love to attend.
