WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
At the Santa Fe Opera, the show begins long before the first downbeat. Come early for a tailgate picnic in the parking lot and enjoy a performance presented in a dramatic outdoor theater with stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape and colorful sunsets.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The 2023 season presents five operas and two Apprentice Scenes in 38 performances, running from June 30 to August 26. The season explores classic works of the repertory as well as operas new to the Santa Fe Opera and the world's stage. Tosca opens the season, followed by The Flying Dutchman. New productions of Pelléas et Mélisande, Rusalka, and Monteverdi's Orfeo with a new orchestration by Nico Muhly round out the season.
