WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
With breathtaking views of the Napa Valley, this unique combination of wine country ambiance and world class talent allows artists and audiences alike to experience chamber music in uniquely intimate settings, as it was intended to be performed.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Celebrate the 29th season of Music in the Vineyards, the nationally acclaimed chamber music festival held each summer in the Napa Valley. Each concert, set amidst a winery, barrel room, or wine cave venue, is hosted by Artistic Director Michael Adams whose irreverent introductions and program notes are a beloved feature. The 2023 season will welcome artists from around the world and features the renowned Calidore, Catalyst, and Telegraph quartets. Returning this season is an evening of classic silent films, accompanied by newly composed music that re-creates the experience of moviegoers in the early days of cinema. The 29th season also features the premiere of a new co-commissioned work: a quintet for piano and strings by the appropriately named California composer John Wineglass.
