Bach Choir of Bethlehem: 115th Bethlehem Bach Festival
Bach Choir of Bethlehem: 115th Bethlehem Bach Festival
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
The Bethlehem Bach Festival is America's oldest Bach festival. The Mass in B Minor remains our centerpiece, performed by the 95-voice professional-quality volunteer choir, professional Bach Festival Orchestra, and world-renowned soloists under the direction of Dr. Christopher Jackson, for his first Bethlehem Bach Festival.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The 115th Bethlehem Bach Festival is back live and in person, after a two-year hiatus. The Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Bach Festival Orchestra offer two weekends of music and events with soloists and artist-in-residence Loretta O'Sullivan. Highlights include The Barnette Distinguished Scholar Lecture by Dr. Michael Maul, German Musicologist noted for his work on Johann Sebastian Bach and on the research staff of the Bach-Archiv Leipzig; performances of the Saint Matthew Passion and the Mass in B Minor, and a live-streamed Mass in B Minor on May 13.
