WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
At the Santa Fe Opera, the show begins long before the first downbeat. Come early for a tailgate picnic in the parking lot and enjoy a performance presented in a dramatic outdoor theater with stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape and colorful sunsets.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The 2022 Season presents five operas and two Apprentice Scenes in 38 performances, running from July 1 to August 28. The season explores classic works of the repertory as well as operas new to the Santa Fe Opera and the world's stage. Carmen opens the season, followed by The Barber of Seville and new productions of Falstaff and Tristan und Isolde. The world premiere of Huang Ruo and David Henry Hwang's M. Butterfly rounds out the season.
