Bach Choir of Bethlehem: 114th Bethlehem Bach Festival
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
The Bethlehem Bach Festival is America's oldest Bach festival. The Mass in B Minor remains our centerpiece, performed by the 95-voice professional-quality volunteer choir, professional Bach Festival Orchestra, and world-renowned soloists under the direction of Greg Funfgeld, completing his 39-year tenure in 2022.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Our 114th Bethlehem Bach Festival is back live and in person. The Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Bach Festival Orchestra, along with soloists and Artist-in-Residence Eliot Fisk, offer two weekends of music and events. Highlights include The Barnette Distinguished Scholar Lecture by Dr. George Stauffer, distinguished professor of music history and dean emeritus, Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University; performances of the St. Matthew Passion and the Mass in B Minor, Chamber Music by Bach and Boccherini, and a live-streamed Mass in B Minor on May 21.
