WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Set on a 12,000-acre working ranch against Montana's Beartooth Mountains, Tippet Rise Art Center presents classical chamber music recitals and exhibits large-scale, outdoor sculptures. Tippet Rise celebrates the concept that art, music, architecture, and nature are inextricably linked in the human experience, each making the others more powerful.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Tippet Rise Art Center is presenting its 2021 classical music festivals and concert series online. Two multi-day virtual festivals will be offered, in April and August, featuring the premieres of more than a dozen short classical music films. Festival participants include flutist Claire Chase; cellists Arlen Hlusko and Gabriel Gabezas; violinists Benjamin Beilman, Katie Hyun, Tessa Lark, and Geneva Lewis; baritone Tyler Duncan; and pianists Richard Goode, Anne-Marie McDermott, Michael Brown, Jenny Chen, and Pedja Muzijevic. A monthly online concert series presents previously unreleased video streams of performances from past seasons, including pianists Jenny Chen and George Li and the JACK Quartet, and often includes live Zoom talks among the musicians and the Art Center's co-founders and artistic advisor. Admission to all online events is free.
