28th Ameropa International Chamber Music Academy
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
28th year of International academy of classical chamber music. Participation of more than 2,000 musicians from 50 countries of four continents, within last nearly three decades.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
"Ameropa" was founded as an international organization for chamber music in 1993 by Professor Vadim Mazo (U.S.). Its main idea is to build the so-called "Musical Bridges" between AMErica and EuROPA with classical music, a medium that has no borders in the world.

Ameropa is based in Prague, where the tradition of chamber music dates back to the time of W.A. Mozart and other greats of that era, all of whom were enchanted by the picturesqueness, cultural originality, and innate musicality of the city. Mozart dedicated his famous opera Don Giovanni to Prague.

To this day, you will not find a country with such a large number of excellent professional chamber music ensembles, spreading the fame of Czech music around the world, starting in the 20th century with the world famous Smetana Quartet. Come and visit us at this European musical metropolis and experience its unique summer music atmosphere.
