FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Glimmerglass Festival is a one-of-a-kind summer destination. The scenic campus lies on the shore of sparkling Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, New York, nestled between the Adirondack and Catskill mountains. Each season, the company presents new productions of opera and musical theater, accompanied by myriad concerts, lectures, and more. As its core offerings in 2019, Glimmerglass presents new mainstage productions of Jerome Kern's Show Boat, Verdi's La traviata, Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles, and the world premiere of Blue. Additional mainstage events include appearances by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ta-Nehisi Coates.
