WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Decoda is an affiliate ensemble of Carnegie Hall comprised of musicians who attended the renowned Ensemble Connect (ACJW). Based in New York City, Decoda maintains a flexible roster of a new type of musician: virtuoso, arts advocate and educator.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Decoda | Skidmore Chamber Music Institute enables young musicians to explore leadership and community service through the intensive study of chamber music. Under the guidance of Decoda faculty, artist students will learn how to fully engage their audiences and communities through interactive chamber music performances while improving their own performance and public speaking skills.
Faculty includes: Alicia Lee, Brad Balliett, Claire Bryant, Anna Elashvili, Catherine Gregory, Michael Mizrahi, Brandon Ridenour, Kris Saebo, Nathan Schram, James Austin Smith, Jack Stulz, and Saeunn Thorsteinsdóttir. Guest Artists: Lembit Beecher and Jennifer Koh.
