Seagle Music Colony
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Seagle Music Colony is the oldest and one of the most distinguished vocal training programs in the U.S. As part of their training the SMC emerging artists perform high quality opera and musical productions in the rustic Oscar Seagle Memorial Theatre nestled in the quaint Adirondack town of Schroon Lake.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The 2017 Seagle Music Colony season includes The Light in the Piazza by Adam Guettel; the piano-vocal premiere of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, by Herschel Garfein, based on the play by Tom Stoppard; The Magic Flute; and Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady. All mainstage performances feature the 32 Seagle Music Colony young artists accompanied by two pianos.
