WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
Part of Rockport Music, the 35th Rockport Chamber Music Festival is held in the intimate, seaside Shalin Liu Performance Center, which not only provides exceptional chamber music, but frames the performance with a view of the Atlantic behind the stage.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
The 35th edition of the festival features performances by pianist Menahem Pressler with the Parker String Quartet and pianist Donald Berman with the Borromeo String Quartet in a world premiere of a work by Elena Ruehr. Other artists include pianists Kirill Gerstein, George Li, Gilles Vonsattel, and Jeremy Denk, as well as the Harlem and Calder quartets, the Kalichstein- Laredo-Robinson Trio, Trio Solisti, Chanticleer, and percussion ensemble NEXUS. Multiple education and outreach programs include a masterclass, open rehearsal, lectures, and a family concert.
