ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
Created in 2014 by Dr. Sharon Azrieli CQ for the Azrieli Foundation, the Azrieli Music Prizes celebrate excellence in composition through three prizes, each valued at CAD $250,000: the Azrieli Commission for Canadian Music, the Azrieli Commission for Jewish Music, and the Azrieli Commission for International Music.

ELIGIBILITY
The Azrieli Music Prizes are open to composers worldwide, with the exception of the Canadian Commission, which is open to citizens and residents of Canada. Scores, proposals and supporting documents are accepted from nominators and individual composers of all ages, genders, faiths, backgrounds and levels of experience.

FINALS (live rounds)
The AMP Gala Concert is traditionally held in October on even years in Montréal, Canada. The date for the 2028 AMP Gala Concert will be announced; check here for more information. The 2026 AMP Gala Concert will take place October 15, 2026, with performance partner l Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and OSM Chorus conducted by Asher Fisch.
