ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
The Cooper International Competition for young musicians, ages 13 to 18, alternates annually between piano and violin; the next competition in 2025 focuses on violin. Rounds are open to the public and streamed live. Finals feature the top three competitors in a full concerto with orchestra. Prizes total $40,000 cash, career consulting, concerts, and two-year loan of rare violin.

Open to young violinists, ages 13 to 18 by January 31, 2025; not yet enrolled in school at the collegiate-level; and who have not won one of the top three prizes in previous Cooper competitions.
