Total of up to $68,000 in prizes, with equal prizes for each instrument. The JIC is funded by a charitable trust established by Anna Storch Johansen, who wanted to encourage young musicians with significant prize awards at a time when they need it most.

Students of violin, viola, or cello, ages 13 through 17 years, as of the final day of the competition; proof of age is required. Applicants must not be under professional management.
