The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir announces its 15th annual Holiday Carol Commission Competition as part of its commitment to the future of choral music.

Composers 35 years of age or younger as of December 1, 2024, who are U.S. citizens or legal residents, may submit one composition.

Application notes Compositions must be emailed in PDF format; entries will not be accepted after the deadline. Submitted materials will not be returned. Email questions to commission@indychoir.org . A submission form must accompany the composition.
FINALS (live rounds)
Winner will be notified by September 30, 2024; the winning composition will be performed by the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir at its annual Festival of Carols, Indianapolis, IN. A $2,500 prize for the world premiere in December 2024 will be awarded to the winning composer. Travel and lodging provided if the selected composer resides beyond the local area.
