ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
Entrants will submit a videotaped performance of two contrasting movements of a J.S. Bach work written for unaccompanied string instrument (Sonatas, Partitas or Suites). Finalists will perform a complete work at the finals on October 17, 2024. Grand Prize is $5,000 and several performing engagements; second place is $1,000.

ELIGIBILITY
Entrants must be between the age of 16 and 30 on the date of the Finals (October 17, 2024). The competition is open to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Entrants may play either baroque or modern bowed instrument. Non-U.S. citizens must have visas by September 1, 2024.
