ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
The MTNA National Competitions are the most successful and prestigious student competitions in the country. The purpose of the Music Teachers National Association Performance competitions is to provide educational experiences for students and to recognize exceptionally talented young artists and their teachers in their pursuit of musical excellence.

ELIGIBILITY
All entrants must be a U.S. citizen or must hold a U.S. visa or permanent residence (green card), which is valid throughout the competition year. All entrants must study with a teacher who is (1) a member of MTNA; or (2) has paid the Nonmember Teacher Fee of $150. MTNA active membership dues must be paid before submission of the application to avoid the $150 nonmember fee.
- Elementary Division (ages 5-10)
- Junior Division (ages 11-14)
- Senior Division (ages 15-18)
- Young Artists Division (ages 19-26)
- Chamber Music (average age of ensemble must be 18-26)
