SEMIFINALS (live rounds)
Preliminary Round (live rounds): May 20-23, 2018 - Helsinki Music Centre, Helsinki, Finland. Competitors perform a 15-20-minute (max.) recital including:
An aria from a passion, oratorio, mass or cantata from the 17th or 18th centuries; two solo songs of which at least one must be a Lied; an opera or concert aria.
Semifinals (live rounds): May 24-25, 2018 - Helsinki Music Centre, Helsinki, Finland.
16-20 competitors perform a 30-minute (max.) recital including:
A song by a Finnish composer; a group of solo songs (lasting 15 20 minutes); an opera or concert aria. |

FINALS (live rounds)
Finals: May 20, 2018 - Helsinki Music Centre, Helsinki, Finland. Eight competitors perform two works with orchestral accompaniment, of which at least one must be an opera, oratorio, cantata or concert aria (performance duration max. 20 minutes). The finalists will be accompanied by the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Hannu Lintu. |
