Gawon Award
ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Gawon International Music Society presents the Gawon Award every two years, offering a $10,000 cash prize to a promising pianist. The Society's advisory board, consisting of internationally acclaimed pianists, reviews the application package and provides jury members.

The Gawon Award is open to any nationality between the age of 17 to 30.

FINALS (live rounds)
An 80-minute recording of the applicant's solo recital program of pieces from different periods will be reviewed by the jury. (There is no live performance competition.)
Supporting documents of applicant's past musical activities and records are required for jury's review together with recommendations from acclaimed mucisians.
