FOOSA: The Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The FOOSA Philharmonic is for advanced college and some high school musicians who will perform major orchestral masterworks side-by-side with internationally-recognized professionals culminating in a performance in LA. FOOSA Symphony provides middle, high school, and college musicians opportunities to perform standard orchestral repertoire and chamber music alongside experienced faculty members.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS PROGRAM
FOOSA is a full-immersion program that cultivates a sense of orchestra community. FOOSA provides musicians of all ages with two weeks of daily private lessons, orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, recital opportunities, a concerto competition, and concert performances in some of Southern California's most prestigious concert halls.

Date details: June 14: arrival for out-of-town students; June 15: seating auditions and welcome reception for all orchestras; June 29: final concerts and reception
COST FOOSA Philharmonic, $2,650; FOOSA Symphony, $1,750; FOOSA Chamber Orchestra, $725
Cost details
FOOSA Philharmonic: $1,975 plus $600 housing (meals not provided) plus $75 (registration fee)
FOOSA Symphony: $1,075 plus $600 housing (meals not provided) plus $75 (registration fee) FOOSA Chamber Orchestra Half-Day Program: $650 ($550 early bird registration before April 15) plus $75 registration fee; financial assistance is available for students who qualify. STUDENTS 250
