PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
We return to Tanglewood s gorgeous Linde Center for Music and Learning for this Memorial Day Weekend program. BCI s Music Director Frank Nemhauser conducts pairs of text settings by favorite composers including Tallis, Haydn, Biebl, Lauridsen, Barber, and Burleigh among others. Dr. Diana Sáez, director of Choral Activities at Towson University, leads a long-weekend workshop will introduce singers to the rich mosaic of classical and folk music from Latin America.

Joe Miller, professor of Conducting and Director of Choral Studies at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, returns to BCI to lead an all-Vaughan Williams program featuring A Sea Symphony and Five Mystical Songs. Eugene Rogers, director of Choirs at University of Michigan and artistic director of The Washington Chorus, makes his BCI debut with a program offering a powerful affirmation of the human experience and the search for justice and peace with Damien Geter's The Justice Symphony and Faure's timeless Requiem. To commemorate Bruckner's 200th birthday, Erin Freeman conducts his monumental Te Deum in Vienna's Musikverein. The program also includes Schubert's energetic Magnificat and Elgar's heartfelt The Music Makers.
