PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Young People's Chorus of New York City National Studio offers an immersive week of conducting, singing, score study, and conversation. The program features the music of renowned conductor and composer Francisco J. Núñez in residence at Music Academy of the West, Santa Barbara, CA.
Conduct the award-winning Young People's Chorus of New York City, with a focus on new compositions for choirs of all ages, voicings, and levels of experience, including a new commission and world premiere, written by Francisco J. Núñez.
Refine conducting skills, score analysis, and vocal techniques. Bring your choir to enjoy and join this special week of making music.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS PROGRAM
YPC National inspires youth choruses and choral conductors across the country, bringing together children of various backgrounds to sing at the highest artistic level, and bringing choral professionals together to make music, build community, and pursue artistic excellence, all modeled after the Young People's Chorus of New York City.
