PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The mission of the Colorado College Summer Music Festival is to provide the highest caliber, inclusive educational experience for pre-professional musicians, connecting them with preeminent performance faculty as they prepare to launch rewarding careers, while simultaneously providing vibrant and diverse concerts celebrating legacy, contemporary, and underrepresented classical music and thereby enriching the community of the Pikes Peak region.
Fellows may perform in two to four orchestra concerts, two to three chamber midday concerts, chamber performances in two to five outreach events (depending on the year). Four to six fellow are chosen by audition to perform concerto readings with the orchestra in performances that are open to the public. Faculty perform in a five-concert/two-recital concert series, and many fellows are given the opportunity to perform with their faculty in these, as well.
