PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
New programs this year: Eastman Summer Tuba & Euphonium Institute; Music in Medicine; Notes from Scratch: Introduction to Improvisation and Composition; The Pianist's Guide to Dance Accompaniment.
Classic programs returning in 2022 include: Eastman Experience multi-week programs for high school students (Summer Classical Studies and Summer Jazz Studies); institutes for cello, flute, horn, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone; Alexander Technique for Musicians; Instrumental Methods and Techniques; The Unbroken Circle: Native American Song and Dance; Music Preservation for Librarians; Music Theory APSI @ Eastman School of Music; Lyric Diction courses in English, French, and Spanish; Art Songs by Women Composers; Vocal Pedagogy for Choral Conductors & Voice Teachers; La Canción LĂ­rica: A Survey of Spanish Art Song Repertoire.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS PROGRAM
The Eastman School of Music's Summer@Eastman program offers students and the community an individualized, world-class music experience. Choose from residential music programs and camps for middle and high school students, weeklong workshops and instrumental institutes, and collegiate classes in music education, music history, and music theory.
