Practice Marathon Retreats @ Magic Mountain Music Farm
Practice Marathon Retreats @ Magic Mountain Music Farm
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
In Practice Marathon Retreats #1 and #2, each participant makes her own program. It features unique practice strategies to develop technique, interpretation, sight-reading, auditioning, and/or performing. The special strategies for practicing are referred from "Practicing for Artistic Success: The Musician's Guide for Self-Empowerment" by Burton Kaplan. There are six individual lessons in each session and two interactive workshops each day.
The Performance Power Retreat [#3] concludes with three public concerts in Gilbertsville, NY - Summermusic 2020. Each participant performs a complete collaborative work with Cullan Bryant.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS PROGRAM
With six individual lessons, 12 weekly workshops, and only 10 students, 6 hours/day of practice is possible. The pedagogy from Professor Kaplan's new book, The Musical Path to Technique: Design of the Heart, introduces ground-breaking strategies to control your body through your mind. Enjoy gourmet food in an exceptionally beautiful distraction-free environment.
