PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
This tuition-free workshop is an exceptional opportunity for advanced students and emerging professional musicians of period-instruments to work closely with internationally-renowned members of Juilliard's Historical Performance faculty and expand their knowledge of Baroque style, ornamentation, and repertoire. This intensive program includes:
The focus on historical improvisation, rhetorical delivery, and the art of creating a vivid and persuasive performance. The Academy is open to high-level Baroque string players, flutists, bassoonists, and harpsichordists.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS PROGRAM
A week-long, full-scholarship, chamber music program in Tuscany for period instrumentalists ages 18 and over taught by faculty members of Juilliard Historical Performance.
