PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Situated in the idyllic Napa Valley, the Blackburn Music Academy provides an immersive summer festival experience for talented emerging professional musicians through direct chamber and orchestral performing opportunities with some of the most respected musicians from around the world. An integral part of Festival Napa Valley, academy musicians present concerts throughout the Napa Valley for the thousands of patrons and attendees that come annually.
Academy musicians participate in chamber music concerts, orchestral concerts and workshops, sectionals, and other professional development sessions with Festival Napa Valley artists. Guest artists and clinicians for 2018 include: Joshua Bell; Raimund Lissy, Principal Second Violin of the Vienna Philharmonic; the Principal musicians of the Russian National Orchestra and others.

Cost details
• Fall early-bird application fee $50
• Spring final application fee $70
• Registration fee $355*($60 refundable upon arrival on July 13th)
• Tuition free, and housing provided in home stays.
• Transportation to, during, and from the festival is not provided. There are modest transportation stipends available for those who provide their own car and for those that help with carpooling.
