BRIGHT SHINY THINGS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF TOURING DIVISION WITH GROUNDBREAKING SEASONS OF CHANGE PROJECT FROM CURTIS STEWART AND SYBARITE5
New York, NY - Bright Shiny Things, the innovative classical music record label, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its operations with the launch of a new touring division and management arm. This exciting development coincides with the release of their groundbreaking project, Seasons of Change, featuring the "hyper accurate, yet fiercely vivacious" string quintet Sybarite5 and six-time Grammy-nominated solo violinist and composer Curtis Stewart. The project showcases Stewart's bold reimagining of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, framing an Afrofuturist meditation on climate change, class, and digital memory including public conversations and recorded interviews with unhoused populations, highlighting the impact of climate change on their daily lives.
Seasons of Change represents Bright Shiny Things' commitment to pushing the boundaries of classical music. This unique program blends classical masterpieces with contemporary themes, creating a powerful musical experience that addresses pressing social and environmental issues. The touring production will coincide with the release of Curtis Stewart’s new album Seasons of Change on Bright Shiny Thing in early fall 2025.
Touring Division & Management
Bright Shiny Things' new touring division and management arm will focus on providing comprehensive support to artists like Sybarite5 and Curtis Stewart, ensuring their creative visions are realized both in the studio and on stage. This expansion allows the company to offer a full suite of services, from recording and production to tour planning and career guidance.
Showcase Event: January 12th at 9:00 AM
Seasons of Change will showcase at the Classical Brunch Showcase, taking place at the Eden Gallery at 645 Fifth Avenue on January 12th at 9:00 AM. This event offers music enthusiasts and industry professionals a unique opportunity to experience this project firsthand.

About the Artists:
Praised for “combining omnivory and brilliance” (The New York Times), six-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated violinist and composer Curtis Stewart translates stories of American self determination to the concert stage. As a solo violinist, composer, Artistic Director of the American Composers Orchestra, professor at The Juilliard School, member of award-winning ensembles PUBLIQuartet and The Mighty Third Rail, and Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient, he realizes a vision to find personal and powerful connections between styles, cultures and musics. Sybarite5 is an intoxicating cocktail of genre-breaking artistry expressed through the virtuosity of violinists Sami Merdinian & Suliman Tekalli; violist Caeli Smith; cellist Laura Andrade; and double bassist Louis Levitt. The first ensemble of its kind to win the prestigious Concert Artists Guild competition, they’ve been dubbed “the millennial Kronos.” Sybarite5 takes listeners on a musical journey of staggering breadth and depth with new works by living composers, as well as the group’s favorite selections from Radiohead, Coltrane, Mahler, Komitas, Piazzolla, and Pete Seeger... but as Strings Magazine says “that doesn’t even begin to describe the range of their eclecticism or the depth of their repertoire.” Their latest album, Collective Wisdom debuted at #1 on the Billboard Traditional Classical Charts and received 5 stars from BBC Music Magazine.
