The album In The Secret Of The World will be released on September 17, 2021 on the Florentyn Music label. It includes only first recordings, influenced by Bach, Beethoven and other composers as well as Ibero-American culture, pop and electronic music.

  • The compositions presented are a result of the comprehension of inexhaustible worlds of sound from the past to the present.
  • Building on the previous recording Resplendences around Bach, In the Secret of the World is a fascinating, creative process that expands the entire dramaturgical arc.
  • Each composition has a special meaning in the overall structure of the new album. Bach and his music remain an accompanying motif. Here and there Beethoven also makes an appearance to symbolically get into conversation with the famous Thomaskantor alongside many other venerable figures such as Schumann, Brahms or Penderecki.
  • Interested in new challenges and collaborations, Maak & Albertz realized the brilliant first performance of Aria, Ciaccona & Vivace (2019), as the result of an exciting collaboration with the composer Krzysztof Penderecki. It was the last world premiere in the life of the well-known composer. Now, one year after his death, his first solo piano music appears on the new release of the musician couple.
  • Resplendences around Bach reached number 1 on the CHARTS of iTunes and Soundcloud (Classical in Germany).
  • Anna-Maria Maak & Sef Albertz have consciously and consistently expanded their artistic ideas: from the conception and realization of multimedia projects to the creation and implementation of the Ibero-American music festival 'Con Guitarra', which was supported by national and international institutions such as UNESCO, the university Leipzig or the Spanish Instituto Cervantes.
  • Maak's concert activities have taken her to many different cities in Europe, to major events such as the Rhine-Ruhr Piano Festival and to artistic partnerships with the MDR Symphony Orchestra and the conductor Kristjan Järvi.
